Supply chain

Transforming the supply chain
toward a more sustainable and responsible future

Our approach to sustainability in the supply chain is based on a structured process that integrates international principles and best practices. From developing a sustainability policy to the ESG assessment of our suppliers, each phase seeks to promote responsible management, respecting the environment and human rights.

Phase 1: Development of a sustainability policy in the supply chain

We developed the policy document that establishes the foundations of Protection’s commitment to sustainable supply chain management, integrating the main business guidelines and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the conventions of the International Labour Organization, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) guidelines and IOS (International Standards Organization) criteria, as well as best practices identified for the industry.

Phase 2: Training session on ESG issues in the supply chain

Objective: To introduce key protection providers, the general concepts of ESG factors, and their importance in determining risks and opportunities, addressing topics such as responsible environmental management, human rights due diligence, social impact management, and ESG compliance and disclosure.

Phase 3: Apply ESG assessment to the supply chain at Saggio

ESG Questionnaire: Each supplier is provided with access to the ESG assessment, customized according to the type of company being assessed (size, sector, location).

Supporting documentation: During the questionnaire completion process, BDS Group may request supporting documents to validate the companies’ sustainability management systems.

Expert analysis: After submitting the questionnaire and supporting documentation, if required, BDS Group sustainability analysts will evaluate the responses and supporting documents for each supplier.

Phase 4: Delivery of supplier results

BDS Group will prepare an ESG performance report and improvement plan for each evaluated supplier. Each of the suppliers that applied the evaluation in Saggio will receive the results of the ESG evaluation and improvement plan through an email notification.

The result of the evaluation and the improvement report will be available on the Saggio platform for twelve (12) months from the date of publication of the evaluation report and improvement plan.

Note: the reports can be downloaded in PDF format.

Phase 5: Integrated supply chain report available in Saggio

Evaluation report of the risks that the supply chain may transfer to the company, in terms of probability impact.

Risk heat map according to risk level and probability of impact.

Comparative risk analysis by type of supplier.

Phase 6: Advisory on B certification documentation and management

Development of policy documents or procedures required for the B certification process.

Technical advisory regarding the auditor’s requirements in the current evaluation process.

Note: It does not apply to carry out evaluations, measurements, or projects that require a scope beyond the development of policies and/or procedures.
Note: the reports can be downloaded in PDF format.
